Senior Installation Engineer H/F - ABYSS ENERGY

CONTEXT
Join a dynamic offshore engineering environment, Abyss Energy, engineering consulting & recruitment firm, is seeking a Senior Installation & Project Consultant.
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a technical installation scope within complex offshore pipeline projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and supporting critical project and operational phases. You will contribute to engineering excellence through technical leadership, risk assessment, stakeholder management and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a technical scope within project and tender teams, coordinating associated engineers and draftspersons.
• Leading the preparation, review and management of technical documentation related to the assigned scope.
• Organizing resource allocation, planning activities and setting priorities for the team.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participating in conceptual and feasibility studies for offshore installation projects.
• Developing installation methodologies and procedures while acting as a senior discipline checker when required.
• Performing interdisciplinary reviews and ensuring effective integration with structural, survey and pipeline design activities.
• Verifying that installation calculations, procedures and supporting analyses are technically compliant and consistent.
• Managing technical interfaces with subcontractors and internal project functions.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable specifications, codes, standards and HSE requirements.
• Supporting offshore operations through site visits and occasional offshore assignments.
• Contributing to the training, mentoring and professional development of junior engineers.
• Participating in lessons learned initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Assessing installation risks and proposing innovative solutions to optimize project execution, reduce costs and improve safety performance.

PROFILE

• 5 to 10 years of experience in offshore installation engineering, pipeline projects or related offshore engineering activities.
• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in offshore pipelay operations is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent technical report writing capabilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to organize workloads, manage priorities and coordinate engineering teams.
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality principles.
• Self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally and support short-term overseas assignments.
• Ability to work effectively under project deadlines and changing priorities.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
