Les missions du poste
Your mission
How can a global company reduce the environmental impact of its packaging while remaining pragmatic about industrial, business and regulatory constraints?
As part of Pernod Ricard's Global Circularity team, you will work directly with the Circularity & Sustainable Packaging Manager and contribute to the deployment of our Group sustainable packaging roadmap across brands, markets and production sites around the world.
Your mission will be to turn environmental ambitions into measurable actions, using data, technical understanding and close collaboration with our international affiliates.
What you will do
1/ Monitor our sustainable packaging performance
You will contribute to the Group's 2030 circularity roadmap by monitoring key packaging indicators across our affiliates, including:
- certified paper and cardboard;
- recycled content in glass and plastic bottles;
- reusable packaging;
- recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging.
You will consolidate and analyse data, compare results with previous periods, identify inconsistencies or risks and investigate the reasons behind performance changes with local teams.
During the Group reporting and audit period, you will also help prepare and secure packaging data for both Group-level and local audits.
2/Turn data into actionable insights
Our packaging data currently comes mainly from Excel files, sometimes containing more than 40,000 rows.
You will therefore go beyond reporting: you will analyse results by affiliate or KPI, identify unusual trends, challenge the information received and help explain what is driving the figures.
The objective is simple: provide reliable, clear and factual information that enables the team and senior stakeholders to make informed decisions.
3/Support affiliates on circularity and eco-design
You will interact regularly with international teams across Packaging Development, Procurement, Marketing, Quality and other functions.
Depending on their needs, you may:
- investigate the sustainability implications of a new packaging material;
- assess recyclability across different markets;
- support teams in applying the Group Packaging Policy;
- prepare recommendations or guidance;
- contribute to internal presentations and awareness initiatives.
The role requires the ability to understand a technical question and explain it differently depending on whether you are speaking with a packaging engineer, a buyer or a marketing team.
4/ Contribute to LCA and regulatory projects
The Group has developed a common approach to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to ensure consistent methodologies and comparable results across brands.
You may contribute to analysing existing LCAs, collecting local manufacturing information, preparing internal communication or supporting the next steps of the Group LCA strategy.
You will also support projects linked to evolving packaging regulations such as PPWR and EUDR. Public Affairs teams provide the regulatory monitoring and interpretation; your role will focus on understanding the implications, analysing potential risks and helping affiliates translate new requirements into concrete actions.
What we are looking for
You are currently completing a Master's degree / engineering degree with a background in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science or Materials Engineering, General Engineering with a materials or packaging specialization or a closely related technical field.
You have a genuine interest in sustainability, circularity and the environmental impact of materials.
You are comfortable working with data and have a strong command of Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and analysis of large datasets.
More importantly, you are:
- rigorous - data quality and methodology matter;
- curious - you want to understand why, not simply execute a task;
- analytical - you can step back from numbers and identify what they mean;
- pragmatic - you understand that environmental progress also has to work within industrial and business realities;
- comfortable asking questions and challenging information;
- interested in working with a wide range of international and technical stakeholders.
An international working environment
You will work with approximately 15 key affiliates on a regular basis, covering markets and production organisations across Europe, Asia and other regions.
The working environment is in English.
You will be supported by the Circularity team throughout the internship while progressively gaining autonomy according to your strengths.
