We're looking for an AI & Automation Engineer Intern to join Malt's Data Platform team for 6 months starting July 2026.

You will work directly with our AI & Automation Engineer, as part of Malt's AI transformation.

You will contribute to three major production workstreams: MaltyAI (our internal AI-agent platform), n8n & Automation (extending our workflow automation platform), and AI Academy Builders (enabling internal AI Builders to ship their own automations autonomously).

Key responsibilities

- Support the execution of Malt's AI internal roadmap for H2 2026; contribute to building Dust, n8n workflows integrating Salesforce, Zendesk, BigQuery, and Slack
- Build adoption dashboards to track agent usage and iterate on Knowledge Base segmentation to reduce hallucinations
- Contribute to designing and building an evaluations for our internal AI agents (accuracy, hallucination rate, knowledge base coverage)
- Implement reliability patterns on the automation platform and document architecture patterns with guidance from the team
- Support the AI Academy program to support our AI Champions & Builders to drive transformation in their department: create training materials, workflow templates, and best-practice guides
- Co-facilitate Buildathons and track AI Academy Builder programme KPIs

About you

- High-level education ideally in Computer Science, Data, Product Management, or a related field (Bac +4/5).
- You like building things, not just talking about them: comfortable writing small scripts, wiring n8n/Make/Zapier workflows, and prompting LLMs
- You follow AI developments (LLMs, agents, RAG, evals) and have hands-on experience with at least one framework: OpenAI API, LangChain, Dust, Mistral, or similar
- Comfortable with SQL and data; you measure the impact of what you ship and know a KPI without a baseline is just a number
- Professional working proficiency in English

How to join the mission?

- A first call with HR to understand your background, your motivations, and to answer any questions you may have about the role or the company.
- A second interview with our AI & Automation Engineer to discuss technical topics, problem-solving approach, and ways of working.
- Final interview will be a short take-home exercise to present in person.

Before easing into your new role, you'll spend your first week learning about our culture, products, and services with other onboardees at our office in Paris- 1 paid day/month worked for interns, 5 weeks/year for apprenticeships: €9/day on your Swile card50% reimbursement (any type of transport) If you're interested in learning more about any topic relevant to Malt's business, just tell us the books you'd like to read, and we'll order them for you-without any questions asked or approval processes to follow.Hybrid remote policyteam building events

We believe people hire people. While we use AI to help our team manage the high volume of applications we receive, it never replaces our personal touch. Think of AI as our administrative assistant-it helps us stay organized, but all final decisions are made by our Talent Acquisition team members who look for the unique value you bring.
