Les missions du poste

Yousign is a European player in electronic signature and trust services, supporting companies looking to digitalize their contractual processes in a simple, secure, and compliant way. In a regulated environment, rapidly evolving with eIDAS 2.0, digital identity, trust services, AI, and cybersecurity, the Legal team plays a key role in the company's growth, protection, and structuring.

In this context, Yousign is looking for a Head of Legal to take responsibility for the legal team and support the business, product, tech, finance, and people teams in their day-to-day challenges as well as their major structural projects.

Mission :

The Head of Legal will be responsible for about Yousign's legal function on a day-to-day basis, with both a strategic and highly operational approach. It will be expected to secure business activities, accelerate commercial growth, support product and regulatory developments, and leverage AI to continuously increase the team's productivity.

We are ideally looking for someone with a business-oriented, hands-on lawyer, fluent in French and English, with management experience, capable of directly handling complex matters while structuring processes, prioritizing requests, and providing pragmatic answers to internal teams. The Head of Legal will be a member of Yousign's leadership team and will take part in key company decisions.

Management :

The Head of Legal will manage a team composed of 2 "contracts" lawyers, 1 "regulatory/product" lawyer, and an apprentice, positioning themselves as a close business and product partner with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.

Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Legal will work in close partnership with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, Tech, Security & Compliance, Finance, and People teams.

Main Responsibilities :

1. Legal Team Management

The Head of Legal will supervise, animate, and develop the legal team on a daily basis. They will define priorities, allocate topics, ensure the quality of deliverables, and support the professional growth of the lawyers. They will maintain a demanding, pragmatic, and internally service-oriented team culture.

The person will also need to structure rituals, KPIs, and collaboration practices with other departments, so that the Legal function is perceived as a reactive and reliable business partner.

2. Contractual and Business Support

The Head of Legal will oversee and directly engage in strategic contracts, including B2B client contracts, partnerships, supplier agreements, distribution contracts, RFPs, international contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and complex negotiation matters.

They must be capable of leading sensitive negotiations alongside the team, in both French and English, and of finding the right balance between legal protection, commercial speed, and customer experience.

3. Regulatory, Product, and Trust Services

In a highly regulated environment, the Head of Legal will support the product, tech, security, and compliance teams on topics related to trust services, digital identity, electronic signature, and more broadly eIDAS requirements and European regulatory developments.

Knowledge of eIDAS 2.0 is a significant plus but not mandatory. However, a strong appetite for regulated environments, the ability to quickly grasp technical and regulatory topics, and a desire to work closely with the product team are essential.

4. AI, Data, and Innovation

The Head of Legal will need to be attuned to the challenges related to artificial intelligence and new technologies. They will support Yousign in risk analysis, contracting, governance, and the regulatory impacts associated with the use of AI, both in products and internal tools.

Concrete experience in AI, data, SaaS, legal tech, fintech, digital identity, or cybersecurity will be particularly valued.

5. Corporate, Governance, and Cross-Functional Projects

The Head of Legal may be involved in governance, corporate, insurance, litigation, intellectual property, internal compliance, group policies, and cross-functional projects. They will be expected to serve as a key legal reference point, capable of coordinating external counsel when necessary, while maintaining a strong in-house execution capability.

Candidate Profile :

The ideal candidate has approximately 10-12 years of legal experience, ideally gained in SaaS, tech, B2B, trust services, fintech, health tech, legal tech, cybersecurity, software, or another regulated sector.

They have already demonstrated their ability to operate in a fast-growing organization with strong business stakes, B2B sales cycles, and international stakeholders.
