We are seeking an experienced Electrical SPEL Administrator to support electrical engineering activities for an industrial plant project. The successful candidate will be
responsible for managing and developing electrical engineering deliverable using
SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) while ensuring compliance with project specifications,
industry standards, and client requirements.
This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical design systems, data management within SPEL, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
SmartPlant Electrical Administration
-Administer and maintain SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) databases and project
configurations.
-Manage electrical engineering data, including equipment, cables, panels, and
instruments within SPEL.
-Ensure integrity, consistency, and quality of electrical engineering data across
the project.
-Customize SPEL environments, templates, and reports to meet project
requirements.
Electrical Engineering Design Support
-Utilize SmartPlant Electrical to develop and manage electrical system designs
for industrial facilities.
-Prepare and maintain detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and
layouts.
-Support electrical design development including:
oLoad calculations
oVoltage drop analysis
oEquipment sizing
-Ensure electrical designs comply with project specifications, applicable
standards, and best practices.
Coordination & Integration
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical,
instrumentation, and control engineers.
-Coordinate integration of electrical systems within the overall plant design
environment.
-Support engineering teams with SPEL technical expertise and troubleshooting.
Technical Review & Quality Assurance
-Review electrical engineering deliverables generated from SPEL.
-Identify potential design risks, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities.
-Ensure deliverables meet project quality standards and technical requirements.
Stakeholder Interface
-Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors to clarify technical requirements.
-Support resolution of design issues and ensure alignment with project objectives.
-Participate in technical meetings and engineering reviews.
Le profil recherché
Requirements
Experience
-5-25 years of experience in electrical engineering or SPEL administration.
-Experience in industrial plant, energy, or oil & gas projects is highly
preferred.
-Previous experience with engineering contractors or EPC companies is an
advantage.
Technical Skills
-Strong expertise in SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL).
-Knowledge of:
oElectrical system design
oCable routing and management
oLoad calculations and voltage drop analysis
-Familiarity with SQL databases and engineering data management.
-Experience with in-house electrical engineering software environments is
beneficial.
Education
-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Languages
-English fluency required.
-French is not mandatory.
