About Colonies

Colonies is a fast-growing real estate operator building and managing flexible living spaces across Europe. Data plays a central role in our operations, finance, and asset management decisions.
We already have a modern data stack and several existing reporting tools (including Looker dashboards). We are now looking to rationalize, strengthen, and scale our data foundations to improve reliability, consistency, and usability across teams.

About the project

We are looking for a Mid-level Analytics Engineer to lead a short-term data optimization and structuring mission.
The objective is not to build everything from scratch, but to audit, clean, and consolidate our current setup, improve data quality, and make our reporting more robust and scalable.

Key responsibilities

- Audit and map existing data sources and flows
- Review current dashboards (Looker) and reporting logic
- Clean, structure, and harmonize datasets across tools
- Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and redundant processes
- Strengthen data models and reporting foundations
- Improve reliability and documentation of KPIs
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Asset Management, Ops, Sales, and Tech teams
- Recommend pragmatic improvements to data architecture, governance, and accessibility

Profile

- 3-6 years experience as Analytics Engineer / Data Analyst / Data Engineer
- Strong SQL skills (Python is a plus)
- Experience with modern data stacks (DBT, Fivetran or similar, BigQuery/Snowflake, Looker or equivalent BI tools)
- Comfortable working with existing systems and improving them pragmatically
- Autonomous, structured, and business-oriented mindset
- Startup or fast-growing environment experience is a strong plus
- Experience using GenAI / automation tools to accelerate workflows is appreciated

What we're looking for
Someone hands-on, pragmatic, and impact-driven who enjoys bringing clarity and structure to messy real-world data environments.
