The primary function of the Deal Capture Credit domain is support, maintain and enhance an application called STAR. STAR is a trade processing system responsible for the deal capture of Interest Rates Derivatives (IRD), Futures and Bonds, and the subsequent passing of the trades through Middle Office to Back Office. STAR is the backbone of the Trade Processing IT suite.

Software development is performed in London and Mumbai. The team consists of 23 software developers and 14 business analysts across both locations
Typical domain activities:
- Developement of new enhancements as requested by the business (this could be from Front, Middle or Back Office). Enhancements can be in the form of new financial products, new booking methods, improving functionality, reacting to audit points, regulatory requirements etc.
- Maintenance - bug fixing, intra-day technical support and overnight 3rd line support.
Technical Environment:
- C++ (Visual Studio 2015) and C#.NET 4.6.1 in a Windows environment
- CppUnit for unit testing
- Python and Robot for automated regression testing
- Oracle 12c, SQL and stored procedures
