Senior Back-End Python Developer Or Architect - Aws Event Driven - Serverless H/F - 75

We are looking for our client on a permanent or freelance contract a Senior Back-end Python Developer or Architect / AWS Event Driven / Serverless H/F.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Contributing to a product called the Property Intelligence. Property Intelligence is THEproduct helping our customers to better understand, assess and predict the different

risks they are exposed to (such as natural-catastrophes, climate change or geopolitical

crisis) and ultimately take actions on. We are looking for an experienced Python

Backend Engineer to help us build and deliver this game changer product. Are you ready

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We are looking for a highly motivated Back End engineer who will work closely to the

Product.

Key responsibilities:

- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that implement the functional

requirements for the Property Intelligence project,

- Build API and backend feature in event-driven design and hexagonal architecture

in AWS, satisfying the requirements in terms of security, scalability,

performances, and reliability,

- Implement code tests,

- Contribute to the infrastructure with code templates for all developed features,

- Contribute to technical decisions and direction in a collaborative team

environment, including architecture, estimation, product planning, user

story/requirement creation,

- Suggest and implement improvements to the application,

- Produce and maintain technical documentation.

Our Tech stack:

Our tech stack includes modern cloud technologies and services, all crucial for building

Property Intelligence product.

- Single Page applications based on React for the frontend

- AWS Serverless and Event Driven technologies (Lambda, Step Function,

DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge, ...)

- Terraform to manage IaC and CodePipeline for the deployments of infrastructure

and applications

- MongoDB to store application's data

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 5+ years of backend python and API development

- 3+ years of experience working on applications deployed on AWS environment

- Experience working with serverless technology / Microservices architecture

- Experience working with AWS Lambda

- Clear understanding of asynchronous code and communication

- Experience in implementing features based on asynchronous tasks/messaging

- Experience with Terraform and IaC (Infra-as-code)

- Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID

- Knowledge of the OpenAPI standard

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

- Experience working with Queues / Messaging, SQS

- Experience working with Batch / ETLs

- Experience working with MongoDB

- Experience working with Postgres and DynamoDB

- Hands on experience with REST frameworks like Flask or FastAPI

Experience in geospatial projects

SOFT SKILLS:

- Fluent English oral and written communication,

- Autonomous and proactive,

- Team player with strong interpersonal skills,

- Work in an asynchronous environment with a distributed team.

ADDITIONAL INFO

- This is a contractual position, reporting to Property Intelligent Tech lead

- The team is distributed, and this position is open to remote work. We also have offices

available globally. Many of the team are based out of the Paris & Barcelona offices

- Some travel required, for collaboration at other offices (2-3 times a year)
